Society Structure

The Society of Jewellery Historians is a Registered Charity, No. 282160. It was founded in 1977, and membership is open to anyone interested in the subject, from any part of the world. For details of how to join, click here.

The Annual General Meeting is held in London, at the Society of Antiquaries, Burlington House, Piccadilly, around February each year. One-third of the committee, consisting of those who have been longest in office since their last election, stand for re-election at each AGM. The President, whose term lasts for two years, is also elected by the AGM. All other officers are elected by the Committee. For membership of the current committee, click here.
