GDPR, which came into force on 25th May 2018, strengthens personal data rights and requires companies to detail the personal data they hold and what they will do with it. You can find full details of the provisions : here.
SJH keeps records of members’ addresses (so that we can mail out JHT), email addresses (to contact members re. payment of annual subscriptions and notification of any special events) and telephone numbers. Membership information is held on a secure database within the UK which is administered and controlled by the Society of Jewellery Historians (SJH). Only SJH will have access to your information and it will not be disclosed to third parties, except where there is a statutory obligation to do so.
